Following on from my earlier post, the forum's FREE Polaris World Property Rental Advertising Facility is now available (to anyone that signs up to the forum) at:
http://polaris-world-forum.org.uk/rental_list.php (see also the 'Polaris Property Rental' button, top left of forum pages).

To add your rental property simply sign up/in and go to:
http://polaris-world-forum.org.uk/ucp.p ... mode=front (accessed in the 'Rental' section of your User Control Panel)

Any visitor (including non-forum members) visiting the Polaris World Rental Page can view and search for listed Polaris World rental properties. The Advanced Rental Search facility allows visitors a quite detailed search of all listed rental properties.

'Whilst it is good to see that many forum members will be living in their Polaris World property, I recognise that many property owners will want to rent out their property for some or all of the year.

I will therefore soon add an integrated Property Rental section to the forum website which will allow any Member of the Forum to input details of their Polaris World rental property or properties (free of charge).

The Property Rental section will have its own webpages and will be prominently linked to from all forum pages.

The Polaris World Property Rental webpages will be viewable, and searchable on, by any visitor to the website. Any visitor to the website will be able to either view all listed properties or list, for example, all 2 bed apartments with private terraces located in Jardines de Alhama or, say, all 3 bed villas with private pools on any Polaris World resort (if that's what they were looking for).

The member's username (and number of forum posts) would be displayed next to their property listing and this would link back to the forum. The various Polaris World resorts would also link back to their own specific forums so that any visitor could quickly view unbiased and up to date forum information about each resort. The default ordering for the Polaris World Rental Properties will be on number of posts by the forum member. (i.e. the higher the member's number of forum posts, the higher up the list that member's property will be displayed.)

It is free to sign up to the forum and it will be free to enter details of your rental property. The commercial aim of this website is simply to allow its advertising space to be utlised by companies/people with services/goods of relevance to this website's visitors'.

Hi I have tried to list our property and filled in all the details.I then pressed submit but when I go to the rental page it tells me to list the property click on enable but I cant find it. Canb you help please.

On your 'Rental List' page which is at:
http://www.polaris-world-forum.org.uk/u ... &mode=list
you should see the word 'Enable' next to each of your properties. Click on that and the property will then appear on the public list at http://www.polaris-world-forum.org.uk/rental_list.php (After clicking on that 'Enable' word it will also change to 'Disable' which in the future you would need to click on if you did in the want to remove the property from the public list).

I have entered our property details twice on property rentals and pressed "submit" but each time the property does not appear on the rental list. I have looked at previous messages sent to you about this and you say to press the enable at the side of the property details - unfortunately I can't see this anywhere. Can you please guide me through this.

These are the Rental options on the left hand side of your UCP:

Rental

* » Add Rental Properties
* » Rental List

If you click on the 'Rental List' option you will then see the enable/disable option against the property you have entered.

Dear Admin

I have entered the details of our property twice and pressed submit. I have now followed your instruction to enter the Rental List option and all I get is the followed message displayed in red:

To display your property on the public property rental list click on 'Enable'

My property is not displayed and there is no Enable button to press. I will try entering all the details again later when I have time and see what happens. From what I gather from you note is that once I have entered details and submitted when I go into the rental list I should see my property with an option next to it to Enable. Unfortunately this hasn't happened so far. Hopefully better luck later.

Looks like there is a problem then when submitting the details of your property. Have you filled in all the boxes (incl Plot Size) and ticked the T&Cs box?

I have just done a test one (using both Firefox and IE8) and it worked fine. Once I clicked on 'submit' I got automatically transfered to the 'rental list' page (shortcut is ucp.php?i=rental&mode=list ) where the test property was listed and I could click on 'edit' or 'enable' to make it appear publically.

Please let me know how you get on with your final try. You can always enter basic details, click submit and then, assuming this works, edit it before 'enabling'.

Just tried posting my property again on the site and again it has not worked. This time I entered something into every field including plot size etc, ticked the T&C box. When I entered submit I was not automatically taken to the rental list option, I was taken to the user control panel front page and in red letters across the screen it said "To display your property on the public property rental list click on 'Enable'" - no enable button displayed. I then chose the rental list option and details of my property were not there.
