The FAQs section on this 'Can I Post Images' facility is shown at:
http://www.polaris-world-forum.org.uk/faq.php#f33but is not particularly clear, so here is further help:
There are 2 options in displaying a photo within your post:
1. Upload the Photo as an Attachment within Your Post (max 2 MB per photo and 5 photos per post)
When posting a message as normal, below the 'Post a new Topic' section (just below the 'submit' button) there is a section entitled 'Upload attachment'. Click on the 'browse' button and then find the photo/image file on your computer then add any comment you want about the photo (in the 'file comment' box) and then click on the 'Add the file' button. As long as the file is below 2MB (and I'd recommend keeping to well below that to speed the upload time up) the photo file will be uploaded. A maximum of 5 photos can be uploaded with each post. Then when you've finished your message/post click on submit and a thumbnail of the photo(s) will be displayed within your post. If someone clicks on the thumbnail the full version of the photo will be displayed.
2. Link to the Photo (stored on a publicly accessible web server)
within your PostOnce you know the url (e.g.
http://www.example.com/my-picture.gif) of the photo (normally right click on a photo and then select 'properties' and then copy 'adress/url') insert the url (i.e. type or paste a copied address) within the 'message body' box. Highlight the url and then click on the 'Img' button in the 'styles' menu bar just above the 'message body' box. Submit your message/post.
P.S. Many Polaris World Photos are located within this forum:
