Just going back to this- we have now sold the 3 bed apartment, deal done and signed. In a round about way its as a result of selling the 2 bed ages ago to a Spanish work colleague of my partner and then via word of mouth combined with an advert the buyer saw weeks ago. However I wanted other forum u...

Not quite sure what you mean when you say a let down for a few hundred £sss, though I'm probably not on the same wavelength Craig. We still think its more likely to be owners renting to people they know, or their family. Unless these people are golfers I suppose and hit the Camposol golf- just still...

Are there any restrictions on doing this- would it have to be put back in if you want to sell the apartment? I have some vague memory of the apartments having to be as sold by PW- but that could relate to something else so I'd welcome any info.

Do these throw out enough heat to properly warm the apartment? Although, of course you could put several in the living room. Here in Spain we have a flat panel heater in a small room that has been converted from a utility room into an office and it was insufficient. We have also used panel heaters i...

Haven't been on the forums for a little while so haven't seen any info about this anywhere. As we are now moving into rental we had considered this problem and stipulate over 21 yrs and only pairs or couples rather than hen or stag party groups. We do have a 'contact us' for clarification so we can ...

Well- no posts here full of advice! Other people in the same boat I think. Anyway- big decision made and we are going to put the apartment onto some holiday company websites and also look at ways of maybe generating a long term renter- who knows we may be lucky again. As of yesterday we know we wont...

NOt now sure this affects too many people as no additional posts- but saw yesterday afternoon that that Ana from Polaris telcon had confirmed that there will be no areanet to the apartments. Very disappointed but you can get a refund and need to contact them about when they can collect their equipme...

Sorry Phil- starting my own rumour there. I know the Clover is open and also the supermarket. Just meant the Al Kasar units are are big and not yet fitted out so there'll be a bit of work to do and we're talking less than a month to set up a smart bar(?) pro shop and booking area. Actually I think i...

The forums do seem to be saying that the first week will be for the professionals to use- so someone of some standing must be going to do the honours. Explains why they are tidying up the Jardins and sorting the grass on the boulevard. Though by the sounds of it a lot is under water at the moment! W...

The person who has bought our 2 bed apartment is telling us that a neighbour has told him that Polaris cannot sort areanet access for the the internet into the apartments- so there will be no areanet service and the internet will remain free for October but after that we will have to pay on one of t...

Can anyone give an insight into the present situation when it comes to selling a property or going for long term rental. Once again we are considering selling our 2nd apartment, which is now furnished. In the end because we are keeping work going to an intensive level elsewhere- as you dont know whe...

See on other forums its being reported A.Gil is no longer connected to CdA, something to do with the Presidents changing their minds. More likely it wasnt going to be legal.

Have you tried Gines Navarro on the way in to Mazarron -its a big store with everything from DIY things to furniture and crockery, mirrors and paintings. Also has some lights and ornaments- though many are typically spanish ornate rather than IKEA modern. Right next door we found a lovely garden cen...

Has anyone got an update on the 'improved' security on CdA? I read that people will be stopped at the gate more frequently and you need to have your passport and know the apartment number or location you are heading to- is that all correct. Are the security doing more patrolling inside the resort? I...

Have also had both highly recommeded to us. La Caverna is only about 15 minutes away but I also heard that you need to enjoy garlic and authentic Spanish food- such as rabbit. Though I'm sure the menu is more varied than just garlic rabbit! The Mariposa does quad biking which is apparently very good...

Am sure I read or heard that the supermarket will soon be offering a delivery service. However, that will be for proper shopping- which will be very useful- but wont do for the bread, milk and paper run. Someone with a couple of good bikes n riders could do a door to door service- a bit like pizza d...

We considered them and tried to plan for the apartment with them- but it went haywire and we couldnt get them to reply to us. From their point of view we changed their suggestions but from our point of view we knew what we wanted. Have to say 'hopeless' so we did it ourselves ( we even visited their...

We are not completly 'au fait' with this system either or with what has actually happened at CdA. However my understanding of communities is that whenever a developer creates a resort (or residential estate) it is generally divided into sections. These sections have a President and a deputy to deal ...

I see on another forum a thread about the few problems people have identified over the summer. Many posts are about children causing some damage by breaking the garden lights and then being less than polite when reprimanded. Other posts on the same thread talk about people keeping unsociable hours e...

We also thought a small 8 till noon service should be supplied as its a fair jaunt from Jardines 1 to the supermarket just for a paper or some milk. However, to our best recollection, La Torre has only one supermarket which is pretty central and La Torre is a massive resort- so we think its uinlikel...

We emailed customer services and eventually got an response that the service wasnt working but we should get it free in the meantime and any difficulties with that could be reported to the telecom company who would send an engineer to resolve that. They did apologise profusely also. Posts elsewhere ...

Yes- in the first instance I agree with you about splitting the resort being a worrying development. Although there may be some way of identifying total resort costs, Naranjos and Los Isla costs and then Jardines costs so it wont be a difficult situation to manage. But I think this drainage problem ...
